Jonathan’s Place is Dallas County’s affiliate agency for National Safe Place, a 37-year-old national youth outreach program that educates thousands of young people, families and community agencies every year about the dangers of running away, child sex trafficking and other threatening situations. Through the Safe Place program, Jonathan’s Place works with families and teenagers to prevent runaway or homeless situations by offering a 24-hour crisis hotline and emergency counseling services. We also provide prevention and outreach services by offering Safe Place presentations in local high schools and middle schools. If your school is interested in a Safe Place presentation, contact Savannah Mendenhall.
QuikTrip stores all over Dallas County serve as the primary Safe Place locations. QuikTrip became the first Jonathan’s Place community partner, with 52 stores actively serving as Safe Place sites for youth in crisis.
