Director of Foster Care & Adoption

Jonathan’s Place is seeking a Director of Foster Care & Adoption. The Director is responsible for coordination and implementation of comprehensive services for all clients in the Foster Care & Adoption program.  They are responsible for all licensing, contracting, and internal policy requirements. The Director will hire, train, and supervise program staff.

The Director position is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with evenings and weekends as needed. The agency offers a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, 401k, and other ancillary benefits.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor compliance of foster and adoptive homes with licensing and contract regulations
  • Foster professional relationships with professionals and foster parents by providing excellent customer service and responding to requests in a timely manner
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and verification of all new foster and adoptive parents
  • Effectively resolve problems or issues using judgment that is consistent with standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Continue self-education on current trends and research in the field of child development and trauma
  • Evening and weekend on-call and training required as needed

DIRECT CARE SPECIALIST – EMERGENCY SHELTER RESET – WEEKEND DAY SHIFT

Jonathan’s Place, is accepting applications for a weekend day shift Direct Care Specialist for the RESET (Restoring and Educating Survivors to Empowerment and Transformation) Emergency Shelter. Direct Care Specialist will be responsible for daily care and supervision of commercial sexual exploitation survivors. Direct Care Specialist will ensure resident safety through close supervision and frequent interaction. Direct Care Specialist will facilitate crisis intervention and peaceful resolutions of client disputes.

Weekend Day Shift: Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm & Sunday 9:00am-9:00pm


RESIDENTIAL CARE PROVIDERS

Jonathan’s Place, is accepting applications for a full-time Residential Care Providers. Residential Care Providers will be responsible for daily care and supervision of residents placed in one of our three residential programs (Emergency Shelter, Girls Therapeutic Program, Transitional Living Program). This position serves as “direct care” staff in a residential setting for children who are victims of abuse/neglect. The children range in age from 0-23 and are both males and females.

Residential Care Providers work four days on and two days off.

Open Positions:

AM Shift – 6:30am to 2:30pm

PM Shift – 2:30pm to 10:30pm

Overnight Shift – 10:30pm to 6:30am

FOSTER CARE AND ADOPTION CASE MANAGER

Jonathan’s Place is seeking a Foster Care and Adoption Case Manager. The case manager is responsible for coordination and implementation of comprehensive services for children placed in assigned foster/adoptive homes. This position is responsible for providing guidance and direction to foster and adoptive parents, as well as oversight and compliance of assigned foster and adoptive homes.

The Case Manager position is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with evenings and weekends as needed. Jonathan’s Place offers a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, 401k, and other ancillary benefits.

FOSTER HOME DEVELOPER

Jonathan’s Place is seeking a Foster Home Developer for the Foster Care & Adoption Program. The Home Developer is responsible for assisting families in completing the licensing process and ensuring all requirements are met to ensure compliance with Minimum Standards.

The Home Developer position is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with evenings and weekends as needed.

FOOD SERVICE COOK

Jonathan’s Place is looking for a full-time Cook to assist Food Manager in preparing family style meals for agency residents, stocking groceries and supplies for the weekend, and properly maintaining the kitchen/dining area to meet and exceed the City of Garland Health Code.

RESIDENTIAL TEAM SUPERVISOR

Jonathan’s Place is accepting applications for a full time Residential Team Supervisor. The Team Supervisor oversees the daily supervision of clients and assigned staff, the physical care of the facility, meeting the needs of clients, overseeing medication administration, documenting client progress, and providing for the safety of youth in care. This position is responsible for the implementation of programming curriculum, Trauma-Informed Care model and utilizing a team approach to crisis intervention while working with our youth and demonstrating the values that support positive developments. Team Supervisor will provide quality supervision to assigned team members and is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing residential care providers activities during their assigned shift.

THERAPIST – EMERGENCY SHELTER RESET

Jonathan’s Place, is accepting applications for a full-time Therapist for the RESET (Restoring and Educating Survivors to Empowerment and Transformation) Program. The Therapist is responsible for the implementation of therapeutic treatment for the youth placed in the RESET Emergency Shelter. This includes, but is not limited to, individual and group therapy, establishing treatment plans, monitoring progress, consulting with other treatment team members and referring entities, conducting clinical trainings, and providing crisis intervention as needed.

VOLUNTEER AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH MANAGER

Jonathan’s Place is seeking a full-time Volunteer & Community Outreach Manager. The successful candidate will recruit, manage, and retain all individual, group, and corporate volunteers. They will also help facilitate the National Safe Place Program. This person will maintain an effective volunteer management system, including:

Monitoring compliance with all volunteer-related grants and agency contracts (Texas Department of Family & Protective Services); preparing necessary reports in a timely manner.

Ensuring volunteers trained and are in constant compliance of Jonathan’s Place policy and procedures, along with all statutory regulations

Working with JP staff to create meaningful volunteer opportunities for volunteers and beneficial to the organization.
