Donating Gently Used Items
While we only give the children in our care new items, you may donate your used items to Jonathan’s Place as well. An agreement we have with a local thrift store turns your used items into a cash donation to help our children.
For donations of “gently used” items please take them to one of the drop off locations across Dallas County.
Wills, Estate & Stock Gifts
Make a lasting impact in the lives of abused and neglected children of North Texas through multiple types of gifts.
Whether you would like to support our work today or benefit us after your lifetime, you can find a charitable plan that lets you provide for your family and support Jonathan’s Place.
For assistance with discovering the advantages of a planned gift or for any questions you might have, contact us at 972-303-5303.
Remember Jonathan’s Place in Your Will
Structure your will to provide for your family first. Then include a gift to the charitable organizations you love. Just a few simple sentences and a meeting with an estate planning attorney are all it takes.
To designate Jonathan’s Place as a beneficiary, we recommend that you use the following wording:
“I give (_____ dollars) or (_____ percent of the residue of my estate) to the Kid Net Foundation dba Jonathan’s Place (or any successor corporation), a Texas non-profit corporation with principal offices in Garland, Texas.”
Make a Gift and Receive Fixed Payments for Life
If you’d like to support Jonathan’s Place and receive steady payments for life, a charitable gift annuity may be right for you.
If you give stocks you’ve owned for more than one year that are worth more than when you purchased them, you’ll qualify for significant tax advantages. Contact us for details on initiating the transfer.
Give Retirement Plan Assets
Consider making Jonathan’s Place a beneficiary of a portion of your retirement plan assets. Then, leave less heavily taxed assets to your loved ones.
