Helping Abused Children

Jonathan’s Place provides a safe, loving home and specialized services to children who have been victims of abuse, abandonment or neglect.  We operate Dallas County’s only emergency shelter for abused children aged newborn to 17.

The State of Texas provides reimbursement for each night a child stays with Jonathan’s Place.  However, that only covers roughly half of the cost to care for each child.  Jonathan’s Place provides counseling and other specialized services to help children cope with the multiple traumas they’ve experienced and counts on the generosity of the community to provide warm meals, a soft bed and experienced staff to ensure each child knows they are loved.

AMLI, one of DFW’s leading luxury apartment management companies, is partnering with Jonathan’s Place to help spread the word about North Texas Giving Day to all of their residents.

The past June, AMLI staff came to the Jonathan’s Place campus and helped make significant repairs and enhancements to ensure a high-quality experience for the children who stay in our Emergency Shelter and Girls Residential Treatment program.
