3rd Annual All-Star Luncheon February 13, 2010 - Saturday Dallas, Texas During the annual NBA All-Starr Weekend, Miami Heat All-Star guard Dwyane Wade hosts a luncheon that brings together friends from the sports, entertainment and corporate worlds to raise funds for underprivileged children and families in the respective All-Star host city. With the All-Star game in the Dallas area this year, Jonathan's Place was chosen as a beneficiary of the luncheon. At this year's luncheon, Wade was joined by celebrities such as former NBA All-Star Center Alonzo Mourning, Former UT and Cincinnati Bengals Running Back Cedric Benson, boxer Bernard Hopkins, actor/director Spike Lee, actor Chris Tucker and several others. They all gathered at The Tower Club in downtown Dallas to help raise funds of local underprivileged children at Jonathan's Place and Texans Can! In addition to the celebrities, the luncheon included a live auction with items such as a Jamaica Getaway, a Celebrity Fight Night Package, a Suite for the Mavericks vs. Bulls, a Stars Private Dining Experience with Mike Modano and Brett Hull, a Dwyane Wade Miami Heat Experience for Four and ringside seats for the Bernard Hopkins / Roy Jones, Jr. fight April 3 in Las Vegas. The 2010 All-Star Luncheon was held on Saturday, February 13th at The Tower Club of Thanksgiving Tower in downtown Dallas. The Wade's World Foundation and The Mike Modano Foundation worked together on this year's event.
